Job description

Position SummaryThe Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating powered industrial equipment to move, store, load, and unload materials within the warehouse. This role supports daily distribution and fulfillment operations by ensuring products are accurately received, transported, and staged while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.Schedule:Monday-Friday,4:00pm to 12:30amPay Rate: $20/hrEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesOperate sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, cherry picker, or other powered industrial equipment safely and efficiently.Load and unload trailers while verifying product quantities and condition.Transport materials between receiving, storage, production, and shipping areas.Pick, stage, and replenish inventory to support customer orders and warehouse operations.Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to accurately track inventory movements.Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.Maintain inventory accuracy through proper storage and material handling procedures.Follow all OSHA, company safety, and quality guidelines.Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits as needed.Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.Support other warehouse activities and special projects as assigned.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED preferred.Previous forklift operating experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.Experience operating reach trucks, stand-up forklifts, or other material handling equipment preferred.RF scanner and WMS experience preferred.Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions.Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the shift.Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.Ability to operate warehouse equipment for extended periods.Ability to work overtime and weekends as required by business needs.Working ConditionsFast-paced warehouse and distribution environment.Exposure to moving equipment, warehouse traffic, and varying temperatures.Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.Must follow all safety, security, and operational procedures.For more information call or text, us at (847) 596-2481Labor Solutions is an equal opportunity employer.
