Production Worker — Role Overview

A Production Worker supports manufacturing operations by assisting in the assembly, processing, inspection, and packaging of products to meet quality and production standards.

Common Responsibilities

Operate production equipment and machinery

Assemble or process parts according to work instructions

Inspect products for defects and quality issues

Package finished goods for storage or shipment

Record production counts and report issues

Maintain a clean and organized work area

Follow safety, quality, and production procedures

Attention to detail and quality

Ability to follow instructions and schedules

Basic mechanical or manufacturing knowledge

Teamwork and communication

Physical stamina (standing, lifting, repetitive tasks)

Reliability and punctuality

Manufacturing plants

Assembly lines

Food processing, plastics, metal, or industrial facilities

Often entry-level

On-the-job training provided

Experience in warehouse, machine operation, grinding, or paint line is a plus
