Job description

Position Summary: The Picker/Packer is responsible for accurately selecting and packing customer orders based on pick slips or order documentation. This role requires attention to detail and efficiency in locating items from designated shelf and rack locations. The Picker/Packer ensures that orders are completed accurately and in a timely manner. The position may also require returning items to inventory when orders are cancelled or when excess items are picked.Shift time: 7:00am-3:30pm (Must be flexible) Pay rate: $15/hr ($16/hr once completed forklift training)Duties/Responsibilities:Operate Pallet JackRecognize and correct potential process errors before actions adversely affect the customer.Able to maintain equipment and materials in a neat and clean fashion.Recognize damaged product at any point in the warehousing process and take appropriate action when discovered.Locate and retrieve items from shelves or storage locations based on order information.Stage orders according to carrier location and verify order is picked/packed correctly.Adhere to safety protocols.Performs labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking.Prepares and stages skids for outbound shipments using different carriers.Removes trash, as directed when product is unwrapped, assembled, etc.Other duties as assigned.Skill/Experience Requirements:Basic knowledge of computer system skills.Must have the ability to read follow directions.Forklift certification desirable but not required.Ability to accurately read pick slips and ensure correct items and quantities are picked and packed.Ability to adapt to change in the workplace and shift priorities easily.Able to count, add, and subtract to confirm order quantities and inventory levels.
